Katherine Coerver, M.D., Ph.D, FAAN
Board Certified in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry
Dr. Coerver earned her medical degree as well as a Ph.D in Human and Molecular Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She completed her Neurology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in addition to a Behavioral Neurology Fellowship. After serving briefly as an Assistant Professor at Baylor, Dr. Coerver joined a large single specialty group with offices in both Maryland and Washington DC.
During her time with this practice, she helped to expand the neuropsychological section of the group from one to five neuropsychologists. Dr. Coerver currently works in private practice in Cenntenial, Colorado where she continues to provide care for patients with cognitive dysfunction. She also works with CenExel RMCR and is participating in several clinical trials investigating alternative treatment strategies for Alzheimer’s disease. She is very active in the American Academy of Neurology and serves on the Coding and Payment subcommittee, Resident Inservice Training Exam Committee and Early Career Leadership Development subcommittee. She serves as a mentor for the American Academy of Neurology’s Practice Leadership Program and she also teaches Neurology residents from the Swedish Residency program. Dr. Coerver has helped author papers regarding anti amyloid therapy and has given presentations on this topic. She also is actively engaged in providing community education regarding memory loss and aging.
